Default E-Diff fill plug

I'm attempting to change my E-Diff fluid and think I found the fill plug but can't get to it to remove. There is only about 1/2" clearance.

Can anyone that has done this please confirm if I'm looking at the correct plug to refill and if so, how do I access it?

Thank you,

This page (#533) from the Workshop Manual might also help:

So it looks like I was looking at the correct plug. The reason I was in question is because I can't get to it. There's a piece that is about a 1/2" away. I also tried to come from the axle with a long extension but can't get the angle to get to the plug.

You have to use either a (I belive) 8mm Allen cut down to 1/2 in length, and then use an 8mm wrench to turn it. Or some sort of small pass through racheting wrench, like this. Sears.com I have this set but the cut down allen and a 8mm gear wrench worked best for me.
Don't drain it until you can get that fill plug off and on..lol

Bigg Will, thanks for the recommendation. I took it to a shop and they used the exact pass through tool you linked. All good now. Changed diff oil with the Range Rover E-Diff oil. New trans pan, and following your lead, filled with redline D6.
