Can anyone verify if there are two egr valves on the 3.0D V6 XF. That would be one valve per bank, or is there just one valve? I've seen valves for sale being described as RH or LH. Also the exact location would be much appreciated. Thanks.

 

One either side of the engine, follow the pipes down from the throttle body on top of the engine.

 

Many thanks. I assume I'll have to remove the plastic engine cover so. Happily it just pops free.

 

Old thread but did you get to this? I was looking and looks like the SC needs to be pulled we you ever able to replace them?

 

What's the SC? I haven't gotten to it yet as I'm not using the car too much at the moment. Ive also been busy spending money of repairs to steering, suspension and braking and have just developed a new issue at the weekend with a sticking/knocking rear hub. Anyone want to buy a Jag?

 

SC = supercharger

i think I have a vacuum leak though I’m hearing a hiss and ltft are off at idle and great on the road. I may just need to replace a hose or maybe it fell off or I forgot to reattach it when I pulled the SC. . I need to check it out

best thing though is my around town gas mileage is now 23-24 when it used to be 16-18.

Didn’t think newer cars did well with egr delete. I may keep it that way until it’s time for emissions check.
