exhaust question: X pipe or dual electric cut outs?
I got a box with some more toys for the jag and it got me wondering.
I know the xfr-s has the x pipe instead of the first resonator and that some members replace that with an x pipe for increased performance.
Would it make any sense to remove the resonators and instead have twin electric cutouts running in parallel instead of an x pipe?

The X (or H) pipe is not for increasing the exhaust flow as such, it's to improve the exhaust "scavenging" by smoothing out and evening up the exhaust pulses between the two cylinder banks. For example see here: X-Pipe vs. H-Pipe, What is Better for Your Exhaust System?
So using twin electric cutouts won't have the same desired effect.
