Have a 2012 XF Portfolio. Local dealership Service guy, indicated that he can program some of the useful stuff . I am looking for some useful tips on the same.

One of the things I am planning to do is to enable paddle shifting while in D mode (I think some of the pre 2012 cars have this but its not there on 2012 XF models). Some people don't like it but for me its a very useful feature

Any other tricks or suggestions dealer can program?

 

On my 2013 XF you just program it yourself via the settings on the touch screen.

Does anyone know if they can eliminate the headlight washers and/or drip wipe? Is there a fuse I can pull to do it myself? I couldn't find one in the owner's manual. Sorry to hijack your thread a little.

 

If they got engineering codes than possible to make:

- Auto Head Lamps submenu in security section (if you have AHB mirror from factory or you retrofitted it;
- if you have NAV, than possible activate video playback from USB source;
- activate the compass with indicating coordinates with altitude;
- disable speed limiter;
- VideoInMotion;
- Pedestrian Protective System disarm;
- if you haven't Dynamic mode, it's possible to activate;
- disarming TPMS system;
... almost all what you need to disable or activate.

 

unfortunately, this isnt like BMW where you can enable a ton of menu and service items.
