Default First Impressions of the new XF

Drove the XF Home Yesterday on a nice 101.4 mile trip. Here are my first impressions:

1) Fuel Economy - OK, but not so hot. A little over 3/4 tank remaining after the trip. Calculated about 24 MPG.

2) Driver Seat is pretty firm, a little sore after sitting for 2 hours...

3) It is a head turner. Wherever I stopped, people looked at it. Stopped at DQ and the lady next to me in her Mercedes even complimented the Jag. Very attention grabbing.

More to come, and will take additional pictures since I just had illuminated door sills installed!

Great feedback. 1 and 3 are my experiences too. 22.4 mpg over the last 9K miles or so. The seats are my biggest gripe about the XF. They have too little lateral support for the cornering capabilities of the car and seem a little narrow for me (and I am not that broad in the beam!!).

Anyway enjoy your car, you certainly seem to be loving the experience, nice to hear from someone like yourself.

Glad to hear that you got it! I remember from your posts that you were picking it up this week. Black/Spice as I recall. Looking forward to the pics!

I will try to take the car down to the park later today and take some pictures of it.

I do LOVE the car, I'm not saying that I don't. The seats are my only complaint so far. Other than that, it is superb. I recall saying that I would have preferred a V6 (or even an I4 like my Camry has) but now that I've stepped up to the V8 of the XF, there is no going back. It handles effortlessly and acceleration is fast, yet smooth. It is the most fun vehicle I have ever driven.

I thought I had a question for you guys, but now I can't think of it. Will give it some thought, maybe go for a drive, and it will probably come back to me!

Thanks again for everything,
Arlingtonman
