I connect my Google Pixel to Bluetooth and play my music through my phone. It has worked in the past, showing the song information and forwarding, skipping through songs, shuffle play, all of the functionality.

I recently added another 100 songs and what happens is that the first song is displayed, but when I forward to the next song the old song is still displayed and it says pause, however on my phone and what is being played is the next song. It continues to go forward but still shows the same original song on the display.
Anyone know why this is happening? I've tried rebooting my phone, disconnecting bluetooth and reconnecting, but the same thing happens.
I've tried different apps, using my default google play music, a file manager player another player and the same thing seems to happen.
Anyone have this issue?

My USB stick plays fine and updates the song information every time.

 

Apparently it's google play music issue. Google must have updated and screwed up the app and it's bluetooth integration. PowerAmp works fine.
