Default Help! My car is possessed!

I have a 2010 XFR. All of a sudden, the car horn decides to sound off. It's not the alarm (car horn repeatedly goes off). What it will do is honk twice, silence for 5 seconds, then honk twice more, silence, honk, etc...
It will do this at random times of the day and night. All doors are closed. I got the service people to check it out and they said everything is fine. What is going on?!

Sadly I can't tell you what the fault is, but it obviously isn't fine, get it back to where you bought it and don't accept everything's fine as an answer!

I'll go with the above comment. Return to the dealer, obviously something is not right.

I did recently read of someone in Texas hacking some web based security/tracking software that may be used by certain car dealers, to remind owners about issues. (normally payments) via a car's WiFi connection.

I seem to remember the software was webtech plus (if you are interested).

I very much doubt that this would affect you, but with all the technology and computer systems in modern cars glitches can happen.

Please post your dealer findings it will be interesting to see what the problem was.

All the best,

Maybe water is getting in somewhere and shorting electrics. Is this when parked and everything off? Does it do this while driving?

Jagular, you were right. Moisture was getting into the sensors behind the rear passenger tire affecting the blind spot monitor. It was also the cause for the car honking.

That must have been really disturbing for you, your family and your neighbors.

Glad you have it sorted out. Do you know the reason that the moisture was getting in?
