Picked up our 2013 Sportbrake 3.0 last week and need a bit of help with 2 things if anyone can assist.
1. There are 3 bars attached to the subframe, and they look v. rusty at the brackets (see pics). Thinking we probably need to replace but have no idea what they are called, please can someone point us in the right direction?
2. We can't get it to read the oil level. We've got the engine warm, let it stand for 10 mins, scrolled through trip menus to oil level, but it's just saying check handbook and won't read. We've also read a tip on youtube about tapping cancel twice but this hasn't worked either.
On the oil display does it say 'not available, see handbook'. Or does it have a bar with the writing 'check handbook' underneath it?
If not available check handbook that means it can't get a reading yet. Give it another half hour or hour to cool down and try again or try it when cold the next day
If it's just check handbook that means it's either overfilled or under filled. Depending on whether the bar is hollow or solid. Either way you shouldn't drive it until addressed. Overfilled is also bad for engine
