Default Hi, New Owner here.

Just wanted to say thank you to everyone on this forum. I have never posted, but read extensively prior to my new purchase. I just bought a 2011 Jaguar XF, Sterling Silver, 35,400 miles, one previous owner, Jaguar Select Pre-Certified. I opted for an extended warranty plan which covers the car for 72 mon/ 100,000 miles. It is the first lux car I have ever purchased and I am totally impressed and in love with it. It's a big change from my 2012 Subaru WRX which I traded in. It'll be hard to get use to not driving manual, but I don't feel like I lost anything on this bad boy. Only thing that I don't like is I cant stream audio thru the Bluetooth, but hey I can live with that. I'll try to post some pics soon to show her off, but again thanks for al the info you guys have laid out there.

No need to apologize. You may want to put that into your signature as it helps when you post questions.

The solution to Bluetooth music for me was to buy a cheap iPod (I got my iPod mini 16gb used on eBay for $50) and load it up and let it shuffle. You should have an 8" iPod cable in the center console that works great and keeps it fully charged.

Won't hear the same song for weeks.

appreciate the suggestion, but I'm use to streaming Pandora/TVMC to the car audio from my HTC One M8. but like I said, compared to the joy from the car it is a luxury I can live without

Welcome to the community. It's been an informative place to learn more about the vehicles and how to diagnose issues.

And I've had the opportunity to take the comradery offline and actually meet some of the great people that are here, which takes it to another level. Even the guys who run the site are great.

Enjoy!

Welcome to the forum - sounds like a great car! You can get the 2011 models to stream audio via BT. You need to buy a small device called Tune2Air - it's about $80 as far as I remember. Look on Amazon. Plugs into that cable in the center armrest and is basically a bluetooth dongle. You then pair your phone via BT to both the Jag (for calls) and to Tune2Air (for streaming music). I have it in my 2010 and stream spotify, internet radio etc just fine. Good luck!

Could I ask what the extended warranty cost you? I assume you bought from a Jag dealer?

Ya, bought from Jaguar of Tucson, extended warranty cost $2400 for the 72 mon/100000 mi. could have had the 84 mon/100000 mi for $2800, but I felt the 72 month would work just fine.

Thanks for the info! Best wishes and good luck with your purchase. I'm still shopping for a pre-owned with lower mileage…

Hey Silver…..that 72 month warranty starts from when? From the day the car started it's first ownership or from the day you purchased it …….in other words did it include the months covered by the factory warranty ?

That sounds like a great price for a warranty - particularly on these cars

It is from the date of purchase. So basically 72 mins from last Friday. This particular dealership also offers a lifetime powertrain warranty on all their used vehicles. Requirement is to keep up on all required maintenance.
