As much as I love the luxurious look of the X250 with the chrome emblems, I'm trying to go for more of a sporty look since the ONLY chrome on my XF Sport are the emblems (and exhaust tips). I purchased some Anthracite Gray Hyperdip from www.dipyourcar.com and I think they turned out great. Prep is key, take your time cleaning the area with isopropyl alcohol, use q-tips to clean around/between all of the crevices of the emblems, and mask the area. Make sure you don't wash your car within 24 hours of the application, you don't want any moisture under/around the emblems.




Overspray does rub off pretty easily, but I didn't want to deal with it so I covered almost my entire car with a plastic tarp/paper. I applied 8 coats, 20 minutes apart. The emblems have more of a "phantom" look now, I even did the side Jaguar chrome piece. I had to use an Exacto knife to cut the red/green around the "S" badge (not shown in pictures).
