Default I must be a moron! How to reset service light on 2013???

OK, I'm a big "search" guy and have tried this damn method about 20 times with no luck on my 2013 XF 3.0 SC. Why can't I get the "service required" indicator to reset? (I had the oil changed but my guy didn't reset for me.).

These are the steps I'm using: (what am I doing wrong?)

1. Press and hold the rear fog lamp switch (before the ignition is on).
2. Press the start button without applying the foot brake (do not start the engine)
3. Release the rear fog lamp switch (1sec)
4. Press and hold the trip computer cycle switch (within 1sec).
5. Press and hold the rear fog lamp switch. (within 1sec)
6. Continue to hold the trip computer and rear fog lamp switches.
7. The message center should display "resetting service mode" and then "service mode reset"
8. Release the trip computer and the fog lamp switches and turn the ignition off.

You have the correct sequence, but you have a lot less than 1 second per step, it's more like 2 seconds to complete the entire sequence.
Took me a few goes, just practice the steps, memorise them, then go for it.

You're probably expected to use the service tool.

Agreed, you have to be very quick and either have someone read the steps to you or memorize them. You don't have time to read each step and then execute. It took me a few tries also.
