Default inclination sensor alarm going off

I have replaced my broken alarm sounder on my Jaguar XFs 2011 3.0 D. It works, but when I double lock, the alarm is going of after one minute. I got the error that the Inclination sensor triggered the alarm. . Is this something I need to program in SSD or did I not fit it in the right position?

Surely they have to be self calibrating as you could be parked on a slope ( though I suppose it might need to be reasonably close e.g. 30 degress in any direction) to the angle of the old one, and not completely upside down. )
Are you sure you got the correct alarm sounder? ( they are available with and without inclination sensor )

So what your saying is that I could not have placed it wrong? So I will look at the old one and see if I can get the exact same model?

Well maybe if you placed it 180 degrees out ( if the wiring will still reach) it might not have enough range to cope with the car being effectively upside down, but otherwise if it's just a bit out it'll be just like you parked on a slope ( i.e. within self calibration range )

On a right hand drive car it's mounted on the left side of the car ( passenger side in UK ) and is oriented as in the photos on this listing https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/325987595010 i.e. flat end to the rear of the car and the connector to the outside of the car, if it's also on the left side of the car for left hand drive cars, I suppose it will be the same.

All cars with inclination sensor are supposed to use C2D47174 as a replacement.

Which if you're looking for a used part is EH22-19G229-BA ( batteries tend to leak and sometimes damage the circuit board, so the newer the better, doesn't matter if it comes from an X260, X760 etc )

If you don't care about jacking/inclination detection the CCF can likely be changed using SDD so it expects the variant without inclination sensor.
( but then depending how they act in your country you might expect your insurance not to pay if you didn't inform them and your wheels are stolen etc and if you do inform them to increase your price as it no longer has all the factory protection )
