Default Interior lighting possessed?!

Why...and how?! Every time I want to love my car it does something to seemingly and purposely **** me off. Whether the interior lights turn ON/OFF for no apparent reason in no apparent pattern, or the TPMS starts to throw off codes, or the interior plastics begin to creak and crack... Ugh. Ok sorry I'm done venting. Anyway, I'll be taking in the car into the dealer to address the demon possessed interior lights, hopefully they believe me as it only appears to act up when the temperature warms up around here (Los Angeles).

It's a circuit board in the light. Had mine replaced and no issues since. It definitely was possessed prior to replacement though.

Awesome, at least there's a remedy... Just now swapped out interior halogens for LED's thinking it'll help the issue.

Many including me have fixed the interior map lights habit of turning on and off at random by replacing the stock globes with T10 LEDs. Easy to do and much nicer light than the stock sickly yellow.

Do they fit in the original slot or do you have to modify them?

They slot right in place of the originals, no modification required. The whole job takes only a few minutes.

hahaha...so many XF owners have gone through this!! I just had the engine rebuilt on my X Type so I have been busy playing with the little jag. I forgot about all the electrical gremlins that I had to deal with on the XF. Take it in for service and they will either reflash the software or change out the board. It was a two hour job for them. TMPS was another pain in the A$S
