Intro
Morning all. I just wanted to say hello and introduce myself. Yesterday I bought my wife a 2015 XF sport 3.0 S/C, and while we've been a Mercedes family for a while, I was amazed by the value of a used Jag. I guess this was the last year of the X250 and they loaded the options. It shows that it has the Sport and Portfolio trim, but I think they're probably one in the same. Fortunately, I own a tuning company so that's probably the first thing I'll do once it's been delivered. The only thing I really don't like is the ugly brake calipers. I may try to put some red covers on them, but I'll have to figure out the size first. I know from reading the forums that a lot of you complain about the factory entertainment screen. I've already been looking at that big screen unit from China but I think I should give the stock unit a go, at least to start.
Anyway, I'm sure I'll posting here and there and if anyone has some advice for a novice, I'd love to hear. Have a great weekend!

BTW, there's a piece of black trim that surrounds the grill that is scratched, anyone know if its just an insert or part of the whole thing? If it's an insert which it looks to be, I wonder where I might find one? Thanks again.
Welcome. The US new car brochures are online so you can check here to see what all was part of which option packages.

While the infotainment screen is small and slow to respond, it at least doesn't look like someone just stuck a giant I-pad to the dash as an afterthought with velcro like most modern cars. There's supposedly aftermarket units to run Apple Carplay or Android Auto that can be installed under the dash but I've only read a few threads about them. I'm an old geezer and don't need to be any more entertained than just driving the darned thing.

As for the brake calipers you most likely have the 355 mm front / 326 mm rear combo although it is possible you have the XFR set-up of 380 mm front / 376 rear combo.
Look down the side of a front caliper bracket, it will have either 355 or 380 embossed in it or else get a tape rule out and simply measure the diameter of a front brake rotor.
On the X250 XF Jag never mixed the rotors so for example one with 355 mm front brakes will never have 376 mm rear brakes and will always have the 326 mm rear brakes, and one with 380 mm fronts will always have the 376 mm rears. It's only on the F-Type they cheaped out and made a 380 front 326 rear combo standard on the F-Type S V6.
With both brake set-ups the calipers and brackets look very similar, ie the 355 and 380 fronts look almost the same and the 326 and 376 rears are pretty much identical so whatever you have there is not a helluva lot you can do to improve their appearance.
If, as I suspect, you have the 355/326 brakes in a dull grey/silver colour you can paint the calipers, I have done them in red and then yellow and whacked decals on them (you can go with S or Jaguar) and that will be a substantial improvement.
For gawds sake don't go fitting a set of those cheap and nasty looking plastic caliper covers!
