So I got the notice that they are recalling the passenger airbag on 2009 and 2012.

The funny part is in the letter it says parts aren't Available until September.

So the letter is just a warning until September to avoid having passengers in your front seat and getting in wrecks.

 

Yep, I got the same notice. Must be a CYA legal effort.

 

I got one too. I thought it was interesting that Jaguar say it will take 2 hours to complete the replacement. I looked in the manual and it seems to show that the dash has to be removed. Based on previous threads about bubbling dash leather, I though this task took around 6 hours to complete. Maybe they have a work around.

 

Im not suprised as i keep getting a passenger air bag warning on the dash board.

 

umm the dash has to be removed which is NOT a two hour job.
