Hi can someone tell me using jaguar sdd, where i can see jaguar real mileage stored? in which ecu and modules is stored so i can see it? i want to verify real mileage for used car xf year 2008 diesel. using sdd/ or ids

Hi i do full inspection for customers all day long, and most people who sale cars here make cars to be in less miles in order to get more money... can you help? And tell me where is stored or not.

 

I do not know where the mileage is stored in these cars.

Most of my experience is in US Fords. Mileage info is kept in the electronic dashboard. By law what you see there is absolutely correct for that dashboard.

Swap the dashboard and you swap the mileage.

I do not know if any car/country would do it any other way. Yet maybe there is a PCM or ECU that retains this info separate from the dash? Yes is possible.

In the UK we have a mandatory yearly safety check on cars driven on the road (MOT). Mileages are recorded & on the certificate of inspection, they're also available to view online. Easy to spot any changes.

Do you have a system like this in Bulgaria ?

 

Hi we have simular thing in bulgaria but the problem is people clock modify their mileage before they enter yearly mot so this doesnt help much.
