Jaguar XF 2.7d faulty TCM unit?
Hello, the battery in my 2009 Jaguar XF 2.7D has died. After replacing the battery, the TCM unit is not communicating with the rest of the car. After reading all the modules in the SDD, it is the only unit that does not log in. The gear position is not highlighted on the dashboard. It is also not displayed on the gear selector panel. The engine cannot be started because the transmission is neither in P nor N. Is it likely that the TCM unit has stopped working completely, or is it more likely that the fault lies in the BCM or BCMB unit? I have the option of obtaining replacement BCM units. Are they connected to the immobilizer, or can the car be started with an unpaired BCM unit? Thanks for your advice.

Fault found. One ground and a constant 12V were missing on the transmission connector. Finally, I found a damaged cable harness under the windshield in the engine compartment. Some animal had chewed on it.
