[SIZE="3"]Anyone know how to access the motor which folds the wing mirror in when the car is locked ??

Any info would be gratefully received.

Thanks very much for that, but isn"t the motor shown in the diagram the one which is for the mirror adjustment ?
I think there is a another motor underneath which fold the whole assembly in towards the door when the car is locked ?

 

there is a second motor that folds the mirror in, however not all XF's come with auto-folding mirrors

It's that second (folding) motor that I want to get at, without doing any damage to the mirror assembly !
When locking the car, the mirror needs a bit of a helping hand to fold in. So I think there is a problem with the electrical contacts.

 

Have you tried lubricating the area with silicone spray?
