I'am new to Jaguar and found rims that are for sale that came off of a 2009 Jaguar XK. I was wondering if these rims would fit my 2009 Jaguar XF keeping in mind that the bolt pattern seem to be a bit different on both Jag's. Any advice would help. Thanks in advance.

 

They will fit as long as the XK wheels are at least 18"

If the tires have a different rolling diameter than your stock tires, it will alter the speedo a bit.

Give us the tire size on your car and the new tire size of the XK wheels and we can tell you exactly what you have.

 

Bolt pattern should be exactly the same on both.

 

Thank you for the prompt response. The specifications of the XK wheels are as follows:
19x8-1/2, 10-SPOKES, FRONT WHEELS
19X9-1/2, 10 SPOKES, REAR WHEELS
5 lug, 4-1/2 bolt pattern.

While the XF wheels are:
19" x 8.5", 5 Lugs, 11 Spoke, 49mm, bolt pattern of 5x108.

Would these sit fine on the Jag?

 

Check the offsets on the XK wheels.

 

Bolt circle is 108 mm or 4.25 in for both models. This is a standard Ford bolt circle. Offset of 49 mm is no problem. In fact, the XF and XK use the same suspension.

 

So would these wheels fit fine on the XF?

 

Definitely yes. The older XK8 wheels do not fit but the 2007 XK and later Jaguar cars all use the same Ford based wheel specs.

 

Didn't the XK come with 29mm offsets on the rear at some time? Was that pre2007?

 

I wish I knew what the offset for the wheels were, but I am unable to find that information. I'm questioning how black finished XK rims would look on my white XF.. I'm in a debate and am afraid to ruin the beautiful luxury look of the vehicle.. Any opinions? My situation is, i recently bought a premium luxury 2009 Jaguar XF and the rims have been repainted in a poor fashion… So currently, Iam stuck between either buying these black rims or just repainting my rims..

 

The offsets changed in 2010. To 49mm front and 46mm rear. So if the wheels are Pre 2010 they will not work in a staggered fittment. You would have to use four front wheels.

 

Repainting rims shouldn't be too expensive, around $100 per wheel.

Offsets aren't terribly important or rwd vehicles.

Offset is always important.

 

There is a very good wheel and tire size calculator just posted on the Wheel and tire forum by badger84. It has an illustration for changes in tire and wheel sizes. It wIll very clearly show the impact of a change in offset. Offset can be important to brake clearance and appearance of the tire in relationship to the wheel well.

It's very important but only most of the time, not always.

On fwd it can be critical to safety although there is usually a range of safe offsets even for fwd.

On awd it can really affect handling under slippery conditions so I wouldn't mess with offset on any awd car.

Rwd is a bit different. I personally would not fit the "wrong" offset to my car but there is often a big range of safe offsets to use.

I think we agree that ideally you should always fit wheels within the factory approved range of offsets if possible. If you decide to depart from that make sure you know what you're doing or seek expert advice.
