Default Jaguar XF whirring noise.

Hi. I have a Jaguar XF, a late 2008 model, Petrol, saloon.
And I have a whirring noise coming from the engine bay, lower near side (UK)
It whirs for about 30 sec then stops, it only does this on a cold start up. At all other times she quiet as a mouse.
There are no error messages on the dash either.

I do hope this jogs someone as its frustrating not being able to fix it

Welcome to the forum Hitchhiker,

I've moved your question from Jaguar Forums Feedback & Suggestion Centre to X250 forum. This is the place to post technical qustions about your model.

It might be best to disconnect the supintine belt . And see if this still occurres .
That will at least help narrow it down a little . And hopefully rule some components out .

It could possibly be the alternator too. Sometimes after start up, they make up for the power lost during the engine starting process when amperage draw on the battery is high and then drop when the battery gains what was lost.
