XF and XFR ( X250 ) 2007 - 2015

Default Keeping my x-type but want a xf also

im deffinatly keeping my x-type due to its great in winter snow and reliable ,i now you guys are like whaaat,well truth is ive had no problems with it,so i want to use it to commute to work in and have my xf for my cruise car,
ive been reading through some threads and it looks like you guys only have problems with rattles and brakes are there any other issue i should look out for before i buy a xf ,im looking for 2009 or so

You are going to love the XF. It's a very dynamic car to drive and it will put a smile on your face every time you are behind the wheel.

I would say go for the 2010 model, even if it has the 4.2 liter V8 as they had gone through many updates.


You may make the decision to keep the X type, but once you get the XF, it will make you forget about the X type.

the x-type has the awd i need to get to work so ill keep the x-type untill it dies,ill for the 2010 since you say they had some updates ,
what updates did they have

The entire JaguarDrive selector itself as the old ones had issues. The outside mirrors were changed out for LED ones.
And, then there is the option list which you get more with the 10s.

If you have a reliable X Type keep it! They depreciated badly and if they were reliable they were an excellent car. I loved mine even though it was hopelessly unreliable. Great drive. I traded mine for my first XF. Then the AWD XF came out and now I have the best of both worlds: a reliable awd Jaguar.
