Left sunroof open
Last night I left sunroof open and it rained. Today all my electrical stuff inside went out. Rbd fault is on, dsc not found, vents close up. And blinkers dont work. On top of that I had my wheel welded and fixed. But now my tire pressure system fault is on and cats system fault is on. I'm new to a car like this. But this is messing me up cuz electrical **** on these cars is crazy high. So by any chance does the stuff need to dry out completely..or did I really mess up my electric inside the car?? Please help

Rain Electrical Damage?
Disconnect the negative battery cable. On a day when it's not going to rain open up every door, open the sun roof, let the vehicle sit out and dry for two days, maybe more? While the vehicle is drying out check all fuses, see if any are blown and replace them if they are. Reconnect battery cable, attempt restart, if no restart occurs vehicle will require expert servicing. $$$
Do not attempt to blow compressed air into any location of the interior/electrical accessories, it will create more problems.

A drop of water on a circuit board or across contacts that should never touch could short something and cause permanent damage, but then again, it might just cause false signals until it dries up. I think I'd try drying it out first and just pray before towing it to the dealer.
I'm brand new to the XF too, but I think there may be electronic modules on the floor under the seats. I'd recommend to remove the seats and try to suck all the water out with a shop vac. Then set up a fan to circulate air and let it dry for a few days or a week even. Even if there's no electronics under there, it'll help prevent mold and mildew so it doesn't stink and of course, rust. Good luck.

There are a few modules underneath the carpets, as well as a whole host of wiring running at the centre console and sides of the cabin. I’ve had my carpets out due to a leak in the windshield, but luckily it was small enough to cause no damage or visible signs whatsoever.
Definitely take everything out - the seats, the carpets - all you dare take, and let it dry with the windows or doors open. You could even put a heater in if the weather is cold, keeping in mind not to light anything up in flames. For removing the interior I suggest referring to the service manual. It will save you alot of broken plastic clips.
