London Tan Interior?
I have a 2012 portfolio with London Tan interior. The interior is one of the things that sold me on trading my 2009. According to the "build your XF" on the Jaguar site, that's not an option anymore. Interiors are monotone white, tan, or black; upper models add monotone brown, and two tone black/red and black/white. They all look kind of dull in the on-line pictures. Am I just out of step with current fashion?
If the current trend is reflected in the new XF interior, count me out. I'm with you, and I also think that the new interior is a downgrade in other ways, not just colour. Here's hoping they do something different with the XFR and SVR (if and when they are released), although based on past experience they probably won't do much to distinguish the various trim lines...
The great thing about the interiors of the Classic and Facelift cars was that they avoided 'the current fashion' of oversupply of buttons, knobs, dials and trying to make interiors look like an aircraft with acres of black plastic backgrounds.
Everyone else was doing that.
The minimalist simple lines of alloy, leather and wood in the Scandinavian style had an elegance and distinctiveness that set it apart, makes it a great place to be, and suited Jaguar perfectly.
It's a great shame they're leaving that behind.
