Looking at a 2010 XF
I am seriously looking at a 2010 XF Premium in Liquid Silver. It has just over 36K miles. Is there anything I should be specifically looking for? Any words of wisdom from current owners?
Thanks

This one has been very well covered in many similar threads so worth searching around the Forum
Overall it's a terrific car and think you'll be delighted with it. A few thoughts on what to look for
- the usual - full service history, ideally with dealer or experienced jag mechanic
- check types, brakes and rotors. It can eat them all and they are not cheap to replace
- check wheels carefully / the larger 20inch ones can bend easily (think yours are 19)
- water pump - well documented failures. Common. See when yours was done. Plastic coolant pipe behind it can fail too
- would definitely have someone experienced check it all over thoroughly - they can be expensive to repair...
- 2009 and earlier 2010 has differential issues. Really expensive.. search on here for the vin range. And have it thoroughly checked
- sunroofs can rattle and work loose - will be obvious from the noise...
I'm sure there are others but this is a good place to start. Don't let it scare you - in general I've found it very reliable
Good luck!

Regarding the diff issue. There have been a small number of owners who have reported issues. You post makes it sound like every car in the VIN range has or is going to fail. Many of the potentially affected cars have had a diff oil change. By now, if you have not had problems, the consensus is you are unlikely to....
If the diff has ever leaked/had seals replaced, its an indicator that it would have a higher chance of failing in the future IMO.

So not sure about the consensus view. But if it were me buying used like the OP is, he may not know if it's a problem car that someone is trying to offload. So I would be very careful to have it checked out thoroughly.
