Manual paddle shifting in D - RESOLVED
So I have 2 identical 2011 XF Premiums that are different colors.
In the white one, which I bought new, it allows you to switch to manual paddle shift mode in D.
In the grey one, which I just bought used, the only way to get the paddles to work is by putting it in S.
Is this a setting somewhere?
It's actually annoying to accidentally hit the paddles while in D and then have to do something to get it to switch back (Shift from D to S to D).
I would like to turn off the white one too.
There's nothing I could find digging through the menus of the touchscreen settings, and nothing I could find in the hand book.
Anyone know?

That is odd that they are acting differently. One way you can switch back to auto shifting mode if you intentionally or unintentionally hit the paddles is to hold the right (+) paddle for a few seconds. It should pop you back into "D" mode without having to switch from D to S to D

Thanks, that's the guidance I was seeking. Next time I take in the white XF, I am going to ask if they can disable the manual mode in D as well.
