Default Metal coolant pipes available now

I was talking to a JLR shop owner last week and he said he just got done with a metal conversion to a 5.0L S/C Jaguar V8. I was surprised. Sure enough when I got home and looked, there they are;

Back Crossover Pipe
Front y-pipes
Thermostat housing

This is awesome. I have already replaced my plastics but I will be getting these on my next service nonetheless. Now only if we can get a water pump that won't wear out we will be cooking with gas after I replace my chain tensioners. I already did all the other stuff.

This give me peace of mind not wondering if a plastic part will shunt my wallet and continue enjoying this car as I have for the past 9 years. It's been great. Best car I have owned by a mile.

Just installed the metal rear crossover pipe along with the front Y pipes and latest edition of the water pump and all that, hopefully all will be well for a good long time.Did a new coolant reservoir and all hoses as well and serviced the supercharger ....It never ends but at least now most of the designed in time bombs are dealt with.WE will see how it goes..I keep a very close eye on things under the hood from a lifetime of experience with Jags.

Next up will be suspension bushings all the way around thanks to the atrocious state of the roads in this town.First world problems, I know, but still!

I have a '14 3.0 Supercharged with 84,000 miles and I was just told there's a small coolant leak. I guess I've been lucky enough to avoid coolant problems up to now. I have another new water pump on hand and a replacement plastic rear crossover pipe, but I might grab the metal crossover instead if they're going into the engine anyway.

How did the shop owner say the replacement metal part fit? I'm thinking of ordering it through Euro Amp.

There were no problems with fit, but it was their idea to use the original sensor. They do 2 to 3 of these fixes a week on Range Rovers and Jags here in town since the dealer is 100 miles away and hideously expensive.

That's great info, thank you! I think I will order the metal rear crossover pipe.

On the rear crossover heater hose, make sure for your V8 it has only 2 bolt holes for attachment, the V6 has the 3. I heard there was a metal version undergoing trials for the V8. not sure of the status here
