I'll just leave these here :P

That does sound awesome, and your sig led me to look at your FS post. That's a beautiful ride! I don't know whether I should wish you luck selling it or not, since then you would be without it.

Is the Paramount nice/worth it for performance exhaust?
Seems quite a bit more expensive than a Mina exhaust.

Thanks

DPK, just call Chris at Mina. I thought they had an XFR and a Non-XFR option. He'll know for sure!

I know I am asking a LOT being new, but could you tell me in your own words what I need to tell my exhaust shop on Monday? I want to do exactly what you did!!!! Any cost estimates would also be appreciated. Very concerned about codes also??? Thanks a million.

That is EXACTLY what the Mina is. Love mine and it's perfect.

Or go with the Varex mufflers and have either choice at the touch of a button...

+1

6 months in on my Varex mufflers, best investment I made this year. I smile everytime I open the exhaust flaps!

One thing I wonder about is how long the motors will last. Not saying they won't but am curious.

First..i haven't taken the time to read the entire thread so this is only my experience. I did the resonator delete (middle muffler delete..call it what you want) and I was happy with the results....HOWEVER....the car did suffer on the performance end by a straight pipe because mine is a N/A and not supercharged version of the 5.0L beast we have under the hood. Putting a straight pipe caused too much back pressure loss and effected the low end torque. That being said, I went back and had a cross pipe (x pipe) installed and the low end performance issue was fixed. The acoustics have been awesome both in straight pipe and after installing the cross pipe. Your question is in regards to the Mina Exhaust and I cannot offer anything on that since I found the acoustic note I was looking for without replacing the stock boxes in the back. The Mina boxes do look nicer and seem to be much lighter. I just had my X type engine rebuilt so I am playing with that toy again. I have done just about all you can do to the XF 5.0L n/a....Big Will, Kyanite and the others can help you out on the supercharged versions as they have done extensive mods and upgrades...good luck finding your sound

I'm leaving the flap in the open pass thru position pretty much all the time unless it's early on a Sunday morning when I unleash the cat - so I think that should add to the motor longevity ;-)

On a serious note, other non-Jag users report no problems with the motor but I see it listed as a spare part on their site so replacing it doesn't involve the expense of a whole new set of mufflers. Which was another reason I had them take my money...
