The mirror assembly got hit somehow, and now the entire turn signal is moving around in the mirror and the light isn't working. I'd like to start with the simplest fixes, but I have no idea how to get to that amber bulb under the clear lens.

Any help would be appreciated, and I'll post pics of the procedure if anyone can help me out.

I am not sure on the "how to", but what year is your XF? There were two different types of outside mirrors.

 

Yes, need to know the M/Y. My '12 has an LED array in it.

 

It's a 2009. I'm actually at the dealership right now for some a/c issues (it was 108 yesterday), and I'm having them change the bulb while I'm here, but I still would like to know since I do plan on swapping out the incandescent for LED in the next two weeks or so.
