Too bad the new CTS-V is a complete animal.. The XFR really could have left its mark if cadillac hadn't beaten jag to the punch..

Deviance that motortrend article and pic you have up were out months ago as a guess sketch....it grew on me very fast...the production XF R from what ive seen doesnt look nearly as good, maybe its the fact its black and needs to be a bright color like silver or white or maybe it is the car but to me it seems to toned down and not muscular enough to set its power look off....maybe in person it will be a whole diff story!

i saw the car in real life.. looks nice seats have extra support around the head rest area.. the car looks very low key.. the rear parcel shelf has2 big bowers grills sticking out.. rims are nice.. front coolers look sweet.. black trim around the shifter .. engine is a tight squeeze in the engine bay.. small spoiler on the trunk..

It's a great car. Mine has 1500 miles on it already and it's very quick. I suspect that in real world driving it's faster than my 911.

The CTS-V is fast also but it's a sow's ear compared to the Jaguar's silk purse. If you like your cars rough at the edges and a little unsophisticated then save a couple of grand and buy the Caddy.

Sat in XFR at dealer and wow! Seats are a dream, very easy to get in and out. Looks killer yet on the conservative. What else could someone want in a car like that? Seems like a no brainer at 80K MSRP compared to competition.

i've been hating the xf, since i saw it, but last week i won't the world former biggest mall in the world ( west edmontong mall) and i saw a lambo and a xf, and for some bizarre reason the xf was more appealing and i fell in love with it. Im glad that jaguar is rising fro the ashes to ecaome the true pheonix ( i sound like a f** but) i hope it destroys the competition

Speed wise, hmmm maybe a little. But why can't Cadillac make a decent interior? The Hyundai Genesis has a better interior than the CTS-V. I remember a year or so back when Top Gear test drove the stock CTS. They loved the performance but just hated the interior. They even joked about why the Cadillac still has a silly chime when you insert the key into the ignition.

The Cadillac lacks polish and sophistication. It maybe faster but by the time you've added the essential options the Jaguar has as standard, the price is close enough to not want to sacrifice that sophistication for something that's a bit uncouth. It's probably perfectly acceptable if you're coming from something like an Infiniti or Nissan, but I suspect most luxury car buyers have too much experience with better quality to accept it.
