Hi ,
Hope everyone is good , i am mopar guy for years but always been a fan for jaguar and aston martin and now i am ready to get myself a jaguar but i have no idea about maintenance costs , problems what to do what not to do ..
I live in san diego and currently interested in two cars in my local dealership
The 1st is 2012 XF v8 5.0 supercharged with 30000 miles on it priced at 29000$
The 2nd is 2015 XF 2.0 GTDi
With 16000 miles and priced at 35000$

I like the 5.0 more because i love fast cars .. Is there anything i should be worried of ? Its certified pre owned
How much maintenance usually cost i will be driving for 12000 miles a year
I always hear that jaguar has problems but i dont like bmw or benz even though its expensive but in san diego bmw you see it more than toyota but jaguar is car with its own presence .

Any recommendations for me?

Well it depends on what your looking for. Big performance difference between the diesel and 5L SC. Maintenance costs and experience are on part with BMW, MB, Audi etc. so not cheap. But I've had way less issues with my XFR then my friend and his E63.

As a Mopar guy I believe that you may be disappointed in the diesel. I'm a performance guy and would opt for the 5.0 supercharged.

the SC is the best way to go...you can get that tuned for under a grand and add get it to 550hp....a blast to drive....maintenance is less than BMW for sure...but if you cant do any of it yourself....all new era cars are somewhat expensive to wrk on....so thats a push.....get the XFSc love mine

I was actually looking at the XJ about a year before getting my XFR, but finding a Supercharged short wheelbase version was a very hard find.
