Default New to the XF

Not been around here in quite a while even though I was happily wandering in my XJ (X350) However, today I've bought my first XF, a 2008 3L petrol Premium Luxury in Azure Blue (I think), FSH, 2 owners and only 63,000 on the clock. Decided I wanted a petrol and omg are these things rare but luckily think I've found a good one It's got 19" alloys, sunroof, blind spot monitoring and a boot liner so seems pretty well speced and it was only 50 miles away so that was a result

Looking forward to finding out the common things I need to spend money on

Apart from parking sensors playing up, I've not detected any problems 😁

It's the same engine as my previous XJ's so I'm more than happy with it. Done over 1,000 miles now and only fault I've found, other than parking sensors, is a door actuator which I'm led to believe is common on these

Yes. Door actuator is common. Make sure you buy the right one as it's different for the keyless entry models
You can fit it yourself. A bit fiddly to get it in behind the window glass but there is a good YouTube tutorial somewhere that helps.
