Hello there. Just picked up a 2011 and I am starting to dig through the forum.

I've read a bunch of industry articles about 2011 Jags getting free maintenance for some number of miles/years. The books, however say nothing about it. The books I got at least.

Can someone out there share if this is true/false? I was pleasant surprised that the warranty was 5/50 not 4/50 as I'd read on line. That is in my book.

Yes, the '11's have free maintenance, including wipers, brake pads, oil, for the 5/50 period.

 

Welcome to Jag ownership. Read as much as you can here and take advantage of the warranty to get any known issues resolved. It's really nice to get the car working properly and it doesn't cost a penny.

 

Thanks for the info. Car is telling me it's time for service in 550 miles.

Joy, no joy, is that I figured out the oil check procedure and it looks like it's down 1.5 quarts. No warning, but the check has no bar and says See Manual or some such.

Added a quart and it still says that. Joy. I will add another half quart and see what it says.

Get it to the dealer for a change and let them fill it.
