I have an 08 XF - 4.2 NA, premium luxury if that makes any odds. On the way to work this morning the wipers came on by themselves and wouldn't stop. No amount of switch position changes etc had any effect. Now - I had a similar thing happen a while ago, removed the switch assembly, cleaned it up and got 3 months out of it where the auto function didn't work properly (wipers were always on in the first position). Looking for a longer term solution (Have rung around and the best price I can get on a new stalk/switch in New Zealand is $380 + tax, just for the part but fitting is a 20min job so I can do that myself). Anyone know if there is a matching Ford part that might cost less? Or anything else that will work long term? In a sub tropical place having the fuse pulled (as it is now) isn't really a viable option.
