Question Opinions on a Used 2010 XF Supercharged?

I have really been wanting to get an XF, specifically with the 5.0 S/C engine. I found one in seemingly good condition, with 1-owner at 88k miles. How reliable are these cars? Is it worth buying one?

With the year and the mileage of the car I would make sure the tensioners have been changed. You have the first year car with the weak tensioners. Also has the water pump been changed along with the plastic piping?
Now the good thing is with 88K all this "might" have been replaced if you can come up with any service records?

If not can you DIY these repairs?

Sorry but I have to disagree. My 2010 had what I consider the best design, with plastic inserts where the tensioner pushes. And I retained them.

I've had my 2010 XF SC V8 for about 10 years now. 75k miles. Done water pump (twice) and a couple of cooling pipes. That's all. No issues with tensioners (yet?). And nothing else serious

Maybe I've just been lucky. But it's a great car

Would definitely have an experienced mechanic who knows these cars do a thorough inspection. If it has issues it could be $$ for repairs.
