Smile Picked up a new 2011 (yes, new 2011) XF Premium yesterday

my first ever Jaguar, I stopped by my local dealer to pick up the free $100 gift card for driving an XJ, and wound up trading in my 2009 335i for a new (sitting on the showroom floor) midnight black 2011 XF Premium. Had no intention of buying a car, but I got a sweet deal that I couldn't refuse so now I am a Jag owner. Initial impression is quite favorable to my last 3 cars (BMW 335i, Mercedes E55, Infiniti M45), and I LOVE the 5 years of bumper to bumper and maintenance.

Congrats on the purchase. I also have the Midnight Black job and love the color, especially when it's clean and in the sunlight.

I've been looking for a few months, and every one I fall in love with used has had problems. I'm back to square one. I was looking at a New '11 XF, and if you don't mind my asking, what was the "sweet deal" that you couldn't refuse? I was looking at an '11 Luxury that was brand new...MSRP $55,300, they offered me $43,700. Curious to see how you have made out, especially since you got a premium model (which I prefer).

I bought a 2011 XF Premium new in January with 140 test drive miles on it. It was a sticker of $61K as it had a few extra options over the base Premium (chrome wheels, B&W, steering wheel heater, rear window shade). I got it for $48.5K, if that helps you.

That's close to the same discount percentage as the Luxury you were quoted, but it's also almost 1/2 year ago. So if there are new 11's on the lot still, they should be discounting more to move them.
