Default Porsche !

Yes, I said Porsche…..rather a Porsche Panamera. I just drove a 2012 Porsche Panamera and it is a 300 HP Six. In Sport and Sport Plus , it hauls with the appropriate exhaust noise. With my increasing anxiety over things going wrong with my 09 XF/SC (especially after reading all the problems here) and since I have a perfectly running car with only a thermostat replaced, I am leaning towards a more solid and reliable vehicle. However, since my car has only 45K miles on it and has a new 3 year extended warranty with Jaguar, it is difficult to part with.

If you have extended why are you worried? There are many that have virtually no problems, but we seem to only remember those that do. I've had many repairs performed and all were covered by either the factory or extended warranty. Nothing out of pocket beyond wear and tear items.

So if you want a different car, then go for it. But please don't use the reliability of the brand, especially when yours has been reliable, to justify it

Yep, what he said!

Sounds to me like you're trying to justify getting a new car by siting reliability concerns (for a vehicle with full coverage!).

If you're after a change of driving experience, then go for it. If you're truly worried about reliability, why would you give up a warrantied vehicle for a used 2012 Porsche without one?

Used Porsche is not what comes to mind when I think of reliability.

If you want a more reliable car on paper, trade it in for an IS-F or an Acura RL or something.
