Default Question about wheels for XFR

Hey guys,

As per my post here https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/xf-xfr-x250-44/2010-xfr-anything-i-need-know-166001/

I mentioned that I'm in the process of getting an XFR and at the dealer they had a standard xf with some beautiful concept one 22" rims. They agreed they would put those on the XFR if I wish. But my mechanic and some guys in the above thread warn against it, saying it s bad idea, my mechanic also said the XFR original wheels are a better wheel for the car. It's just to me they look so boring and take away from the beauty of this car.

So if like some more opinions before I finalize deal.. Is 22" wheels and low profile a big bad no no on this car?
The car is simply too powerful and suspension too stiff for such wheels?

If so I guess my options would be to research other options or find somewhere to pimp these wheels out with a new color, or something ?

Thanks guys!

The larger the wheel, the more susceptible it is to damage - bends and breaks. The large wheel also gives a rougher harsher ride.

+1

But it's your car, and if you are ok with the trade offs, then go for it. Heck, you could turn it into a donk if you wanted to, so there's nothing stopping you. Most people that own Jags will scoff at the bigger wheels (ok me too), but you gotta do what makes you happy.

if the wheels in the pics in Lotusespritse are 22" wheels abstivilty do not do it...unless you can sell them... get the car and checkout Wheel Warehouse for some 20" wheels that look better to you 20" is the factory size and your ride will not be compromised nor your look...
