Just curious as my old 275/125/60/20/2A use to keep up but now as I lock on 20A it can't keep up and 60A OL after a few minutes at the safety cut-off.

I can't justify getting a Acctiva Pro 70A and just wish to know what is everyone is using.

I thought 'idle use' is only 20 Amps?

My old charger use to keep the car at 13.4-13.8 on 20A manual mode but now I keep dropping below 12.5 which means the car shuts down half way through diagnosing, I would hate trying to reprogram....

If your referring to the Acctiva Pro 70A, It is programmable to pre-determined amp and final voltage allowing for precise maintaining of current.

A few months...maybe a year (This getting old sucks) I noticed some lab systems that were decent in price and you can maintain up to 17.2 Volts @ around the 20A range by dialing exactly what you wish but can't find them any more.... should have booked marked.

Depends on model year but it should be at least 25 Amps.

Thank you u102768, I see I should have been running at least 50A.

I have been looking at these units;

1. Midtronics (PSC-550S KIT) Power Supply/Battery Charger (As recommended with IDS-SDD-JLR)

2.Fat Boy 75A Variable(12-16V) 110ac

3. Schumacher INC100 100A 12V Battery Charger and Power Supply (Variable 13-14.8V)

4. MST-80+ or 90+
