every 2-3 weeks my radio keeps forgetting its presets. seat memory and everything else stays the same. battery replaced a few months ago, not other electrical glitches.

thoughts? one theory is that the presets get forgotten every time XM does a channel lineup change.

 

This is very common and a classic sign of a bad battery. New or not, have your battery load tested by a battery specialist (and not where you bought the battery).

 

Not the same symptoms, but my radio module would not allow me to do anything with FM1. Extended warranty replaced it and all is good. Have no idea what the cost would have been.
