Default Rear shade, does yours stick too?

I ave the automatic rear shade option on jag and It often sticks, does this happen to anyone else? if so is there a fix?

I was thinking of just lubing key points with graphite or something.

Mine did stick a couple of times but it wasn't clear to me if it needed lube or just sometimes caught on the rear parcel shelf somehow.

I think most of the parts are plastic so you may want to look for a silicon spray lube.

I didn't use it that much to investigate further before I sold the car for the XFRs sportier cousin ;-)

Yes. If I haven't used it for a while, it will stick. A bit of silicon lube will get it going for a few weeks, as will trying an open/close cycle a few times. Not really an issue as I have tinted windows and very rarely use it anyway.

Constantly sticks! On both the '09 and '10.

Well I am glad I am not the only one then. I think I am going to grease some of the sections and file down a sticking part.
