Remembrance of my valet parking days...
When I was 17 years old, I parked cars one summer at the North Jersey Country Club in Wayne, NJ. As a 17 year old kid I got to park some pretty sweet cars.
I remember sitting in an XJ (if I remember correctly) and thinking that if I ever had the money I would love to own a Jaguar.
Over the years I have test-driven a few...as I recall I drove a 12 cylinder XJ once and an S-type 4.2 but both times ended up getting something else.
With my recent purchase of my first Jag at age 45, I can't help but think back on my old days parking cars. It is weird how metal, nuts and bolts can be bring back a lot of old memories.
Just a thought I felt like sharing.

Lol....I know how you feel Darin.
I can still remember my dads old Ford Zodiac and his Zephyr too, with the front bench seats from the late 60's early 70's.
Iconic cars!
Congrats on getting to realise your dream
FYI, I bought my old 09 XF in remmeberance to my grand father. He always said before he died he wanted a JAguar but never bought one as the ywere all junk that broke down all the time LOL. So in memory of him, I seen a member here selling his white 09 XF S/C I bought it in memory of grandpa. Now I got an XFR and he would be proud!
Proust and his madeleines!
My father's first car after the War was a Rover 12.
You'd need to dip the XK cigar lighter in used engine oil to get the full leather and burnt oil effect but there's still something about getting into a Jaguar that reminds me of him and his car from 60 years ago.
Maybe it's the similar level of unreliability.
