Unhappy Replacement Of Door Mirror Completely

Hi guys

First of all, I love my Jaguar XF, probably one of the best cars I have ever driven.

I recently purchased a Silver XF 2011 2.2 Deisel car. The wing mirror on the drivers side has been completely smashed up and I will need to source another one and install.

Does anyone know, or can anyone point me in the right direction as to where I can find some instructions/ on how to remove the wing mirror>

Thanks

Jenny

I assume you mean the offside door mirror.

Look in the Workshop Manual, which is available from vendors via the Internet.

You may find a suitable one in a breaker's yard.

I had the same thing happen on the passenger side. When I went to the local Jaguar dealer he quoted around $1100. I "luckily" had my deductible set at $250, so it was cheaper to just claim insurance.

THanks. I managed to source a wing mirror but it has a blind spot thing on the mirror (£175) - Jaguar quoted me £875!!!

I do not have the sensors installed on my Jaguar, my wing mirrors were just standard power folds.

Would the mirror still operate (i.e. fold and move the mirror around from the internal control mechnaism)

Ive managed to source the Manual from a dropbox account for free, in addition, i found a youtube video showing how to remove the door trim from the door which will be helpfuly.
