Angry Replacing the glovebox bulb

I've managed to remove the old bulb using long nose pliers but I can't get the new bulb in as it's at a very awkward angle facing away from me. Are there any tips on how to change this? Jag made seem to have difficult as possible! I'm normally patient but this got me cursing!!

I tried this on both my XFs but in both cases I could not even budge the original globe let alone try to insert a new one, so you are one step ahead of where I got to!
Sorry to be no help at all!

I managed to do it in the end after alot of fiddling and attempts to get it in. Removing the bulb was a bit of a PITA after trying with the first set of pliers but I used a shorter pair and it took about 3 attempts to get a good grip on the bulb enough to slide it out.
