Default Rim offset

Whats the best offset to get on aftermarket rims for the XF to keep it as flush as possible?

They don't make a super flush offset. I have Rohanna's which are the closest I have seen so far. 20x9 40F and 20x10 42R. Im gonna be adding spacers to the front and rear. To drop the offset to 32F and 38R. Here is pics of my car without the added spacers.

The Savini rims I ordered (BM-12's) in staggered fitment were offset perfectly. They don't use spacers or adapters and are custom offset for the vehicle. They are absolutely the perfect offset. I'll look around to see if I can get the exact numbers.

I would be interested in knowing your offset. Mine are pretty flush as they sit. 20x9 40F and 20x10 42R.

Most of the aftermarket wheels I have seen have an offset of 38

The stock XF 20" wheels for the non-XFR are 8.5" ET +49 all round, and for the XFR (and maybe the Supercharged as well?) they are the same on the front but 9.5" ET +66 on the rear.
+66 is "yuge" and pushes the outer edge of the rim way inboard, so swapping to a +38 on the rear "pokes" them out by 28 mm or a bit over an inch, which is just right to have them fitting flush with the rear fenders.

The 28mm would be true if the new wheel was still stock 9.5 wide. All if not most aftermarket wheels are 10 or 10.5. So going with a 10 and 38 offset would push your wheels out 34mm and a 10.5 would push you out 38mm.

This is what mine show on the boxes. Not sure if this is the actual offset or if this is the "blank" that they customize. I don't know enough about Savini's manufacturing process to know how they make it work, but they definitely work.

I do not know anything about Savini's process either, but +15 just seems far too aggressive, and the wheels would stand out past the fender well by about 3/4 - 1 inch. I suspect that the wheel blanks are at +15, but that they are machined to the customer spec.

Were you guys able to get your rims with the 63.4 center bore or are you using hub centric rings to fill in the difference?

Most aftermarket wheel companies come with 73.1 bore so they can fit many applications. So yes you will need hub centric rings. I use them with no problem. If you want to spend a ton of money some wheels companies with make by order and give you correct center bore.

But for the money you can't beat using a ring. You can find great aftermarket wheels for $2000 and under and use a ring. Or bite the bullet and pay $4000 to $5000 for the right bore.
