Exclamation Rotary Gear Selector Shifting Knob - Part Number

Hi, I need to replace my whole Transmission Control Module since the knob stucked on D with several trials of resets. Finally my local dealer said that the whole part needs to be replaced... yet i cant find the part number, any help

That's for an XF 2009 3.0L petrol engine

It's C2Z18713.
Well at least the LHD one, the RHD one may be different but I don't know for sure.

Welcome to the forum au3gh,

Although you don't give any indication of Location, your IP Address suggests you are in Cairo?

The correct P/N depends on VIN range and LHD or RHD:

That far away from the Jaguar factory, you certainly don't want to be ordering the wrong one!

Thanks Graham for your kind reply. Yes indeed I'm writing from Cairo, Egypt yet I have no clue why my location is not showing... I guess i have to edit my profile for that.

As for my car it is LHD & my VIN is FR09596

Thanks for your support my friend & I'll follow the link you've sent me for proper introduction.

Cheers !

- Ahmed

Ahmed,

YES - Location field at the top right of your posts will automatically fill from the setting in your forum profile. City, Country is the best choice for this international forum.

Here's the P/N's for your VIN with LHD boxed in green:

I've also shown RHD as it's risky to assume just because you drive on the right that you have a LHD car.

Thanks my friend for your valuable information & time

I've came across many parts with P/N C2Z18713 on eBay that say it fits XF 2009 3.0L LHD do you think it is the same part ?
specially it has the the same number as mine on the part's back /P 8X23-7E453 -AF

attached is the back of my faulty part for your reference...

I may be wrong, but if it has exactly the same part numbers on the back then I'd grab it, as I believe that's the Ford WERS number and that means it's basically an identical part.
