I have a 2010 XF Premium. Periodically all of my presets go back to "weather". This has happened about 6 times and doesn't seem to be related to cold or warm weather. Has anyone heard of this happening? Did a search and could not find any information.

Is my unit defective or is there a software update that is needed?

Yes mine has done it once, last month, strangely enough the original presets were in the system when I advanced through the steering wheel controls, but the display only indicated weather. I think it may be attributed to Sirius satelite radio, a clich!

 

I have seen quite a few with this problem. There is a bulletin out for a software update of the satellite radio module. Just take it up to your dealership and have them take care of it for you

 

Thanks for the info. The car has to go in for a rear window that does not always want to stay up and to have the winter tires put on.

 

check the manuel about resetting the rear windows. You should be able to reset this yourself.

 

OK got the TSB performed on the car, I'll see if it really worked. Keep you posted

 

Yes. The update fixes the rear window "bounce" issues, satellite radio preset issues, and has "other entertainment system updates."
