Default spires midpipe for 5.0 s/c

gents, any experience with the spires "mid pipe"? it adds x pipe and deletes the resonator / silencer, while retaining stock muffler sections. Pasted email correspondence below re: price of about $500 shipped to usa. Price seems fairly low compared to other systems I've seen and will likely be less hassle than paying a shop for custom x pipe work.

They are quoting pounds, not dollars. 512 pounds is more like $650us

Never had a Spires myself but many good reports over on the Pommy forum:

One member has recently posted up a for sale ad for the full Spires stage 2 system, which I believe includes not just the centre X pipe but the rear mufflers as well, see here:

I have a Spires stage 3 exhaust (x pipe and mufflers), just to warn you, their will be drone between 1500 rpm to 2000 rpm. It's a slip on style with clamps and there isn't a way for a full seal which will cause a minor exhaust leak plus it's basically straight through until the mufflers. I'm currently looking into getting the no drone resonators installed on the x pipe to reduce some, if not most, of the drone.

If your doing just the x pipe, you may still have some drone, the other option is getting an xfr-s x pipe installed.
