Default Strange sound from front wheels area

Breaking under steering at low speed produces a strange crunching and grinding noise in my Jaguar XF 2011 v8 does anyone know what the issue might be?

You probably want to post this in the XF Forum HERE...

You don't hear any noise other than slow speed braking while turning? How does the car sit? Is it low in the front at all - could the tires be rubbing on the fender? Other than that I would say wheel bearings or the obvious pads/rotors...

Brakes can break so that breaking noise could be your brakes breaking!

Welcome to the forum Andsnap,

I've moved your question from XK8/XKR to X250 forum. This is the place to post questions about your model.

Crunching/grinding ......... must be metal to metal contact which is never a good thing with the brakes or steering components.

Please follow this link New Member Area - Intro a MUST - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the New Member Area - Intro a MUST forum and post some information about yourself and your vehicle for all members to see. In return you'll get a proper welcome and some useful advice about posting to the forum.
