Tail light replacement
I need to replace the quarter panel-mounted passenger side tail light assembly. The LEDs are out, but the turn signal indicator and backup indicator still operate. It appears easy enough to do, but I'm wondering if I'll also need to replace the trunk-mounted portion as well. I'm hoping that when I replace the larger assembly the trunk-mounted light will come back on. Anyone have experience with this issue? Thanks!
(I previously posted this on the X260 forum and realized today that I was in the wrong spot. :/ )

Thank you for your responses. I thought the trunk mounted section were lights but they appear to be reflectors. I received the replacement light and was able to swap it out yesterday. It took about 30 minutes. I'm now having an issue with the alarm sounding randomly in the middle of the night. It typically stops before I can get to my keys. I think I found a thread with the resolution listed so that'll be my next project. Thanks, again!
