Unfortunately after 10+ years of being an avid Jaguar owner and enthusiast, its time for us to move on.
I love my 2015 Jaguar XFR-S, but recent dealership experience on the wife's 2020 I-Pace (what a piece) has us leaving the brand and not looking back.
I'm trading in my 2015 XFR-S along with the wife's I-Pace on a new X3M Competition. I already had a 2018 X5 Diesel in our stable for over a year, and that car has won me and my wife over.
I've started a thread as I'm liquidating a lot of parts off the car, to return it to stock, its listed here: Marketplace listing
I'll update everyone as things progress but I should be taking possession before month end.

Sorry to hear that but my wife's I Pace and the lack of competent engineers to fix it is starting to make me think the same about moving on
.
I have similar issues with our x260 and the dealership - it has me very very worried about the brand, and the burden of owning two of these cars. I don't have anything else I like "more" tho, so Im stuck until something steals my heart.
Thanks for all you have documented here and elsewhere

TreVoRTasmin, I do not know what the mileage is on your I-Pace but once ours got out of warranty, hit the mileage limit of 80,000kms (its now sitting at about 90,000kms) its been nothing but a headache. Its been to the dealership with one fault or another 3 times in the last 3 months (including recalls) and the car sat idle while the family was on holidays for 2 of those months... They seem really limited on techs that can service these things, or even know how to deal with them (I had to drive to the dealership to assist the tow truck driver to unload this thing off his flatbed, while it sat in Jaguar's yard). Good luck!

DevilSh, glad to contribute to the community in any capacity, I'm sure I'll check in from time to time. My needs have changed, I have a kid thats going to be another licensed driver in the household (he'll be driving the X-Type, which we're keeping, but that car gets serviced by me), I need to reduce the number of cars, 3 licensed drivers and 4 cars with one (XFR-S) being in storage for 6-7 months out of the year is starting to seem less practical. The issues with the wife's I-Pace just twisted my arm into downsizing our stable and getting into something newer and hopefully less problematic

Robinus, thanks!!! Appreciate the well wishes
Yeah, hers still has a bit more than 2 years left on the warranty but since April it has been yard art because you never know when it will decide to actually charge then it has a bumper to bumper aftermarket for another 5 but non of that helps if Jaguar can't actually solve the problems, Seems to me that they are becoming very stingy with their loaners and warranty work as well and my XF Super spends more time being driven by my wife then me. Lucky kid to get an X type (hopefully a stick on top of that). I still miss mine, such a fun car. Good luck!

yep I can relate it seems like my wife drove my x5 more than I have since January, as I’ve been driving my xfrs since April. IPace has been in service so often, and loaners are always not available that I would just tell her, let’s get the car in to get looked at and drive the x5 it’s just sitting there. In fairness my service rep has stepped up for us when he can. He has always pushed to get things covered under warranty (even when we were out of warranty) or getting parts to me at cost to help reduce the impact. Where it becomes an issue is when you have no confidence that your car dashboard display won’t light up with errors and warnings every 10kms.
Xtype is an automatic, but it’s a wagon. I wish it was a manual and a wagon, but I hear that combo is very rare, at least up here in Canada

I don't think any manuals and wagons came stateside at all. I toyed around with before we traded our 05 in with taking the tranny and computer out of it and putting it into a wagon with a bad tranny. Never found one for reasonable money.
Well on Friday (October 20th) it became official. The 2015 XFR-S and the 2020 I-Pace were handed in as we took possession of our new 2024 BMW X3M
Quick photo the first day I took her for a test drive, on Tuesday October 10th Another angle Interior Shots Backseat space Salesperson sent me this when we were close to putting pen to paper, on Friday October 13th Friday October 20th she's tucked in our garage at home Tuesday October 24th she's had her first taste of winter.
So far its been bitter sweet. I'll miss the XFR-S a lot, that car was probably the best car I've owned to date, but we'll see what the next chapter has in store.
Best wishes to everyone on the forum, its been a blast

While we're not experiencing any issues, currently, with our Jags, I do understand your point. I have a very good Jag dealer in my area, and over the years, I've cultivated a good relationship with them. However, as Jag goes fully electric, across their lines, and the public, so far, isn't exactly gobbling up EVs, this has to go a long way toward crippling the dealer network, and if this unfortunately happens, it will certainly put the hurt on us keeping our ICE Jags going.
Hey @H.Jones ! Can't believe I found this thread. I inquired today about your old XF-RS in Calgary (I'm in Edmonton). Would love to ask you a few questions about it! Thanks

Hello Ultrablue, ask away... I can't send you a private message (PM), I think that's due to you not having any posts on this forum even though it appears that you signed up back in 2020.
